What People Say
I was impressed with the depth and breadth of Dr. Colpitts’s assessment and analysis. He […] reviewed all safety-related documents and policies at the school. A 3-day campus visit followed, during which [he] conducted structured interviews of every constituent group at the school, including Board members. […] He later produced an extensive, formal written audit of our safety measures, including both commendations and recommendations.
-Board Chair, Independent School
I commend Dr. Colpitts for the exceptional expertise in a wide spectrum of security related issues that he has developed through both experience and doctoral-level study. I was also pleased with the thoughtful and practical nature of his evaluation and recommendations.
-Board Chair, Independent School & President, Regional Real Estate Company
GoodIvy’s audit and documentation elicited a candid and forward-looking dialogue at the Board level and supported staff’s subsequent development of a multi-year security plan and budget integrating his recommendations.
-Board Member, Independent School
Their knowledge of code and regulations is impressive. Even more impressive is how they are able to understand them in the context of a university student affairs and residential life program, with all of the budget and political realities we face on campus.
-Senior Housing Officer, Mid-Sized Public University
My friends and I were charged with violations of our university’s code of conduct and were told that it was “likely” that we were going to be suspended. I reached out to Dr. Matt Colpitts with this information, just hoping for some guidance as I knew this is the kind of work he had done in the past. He offered tremendous support and advised me through the conduct process. Moreover, he kindly assisted me with writing a letter for me to send to the Dean’s Office. This letter covered all of the details of the issue, specifically about how there weren’t guidelines put in place by the University previous to this event, and therefore it was unfair to punish us so harshly. The letter also covered [our state’s] COVID-19 guidelines, specifically how we were not in violation of them. He not only helped me with the letter but by doing so immediately after I reached out to him, having things ready just two days after I asked him.
Matt’s efforts proved to be extremely helpful for mitigating possible sanctions, and in the end, I was not suspended from my University. I strongly recommend Dr. Matt Colpitts and GoodIvy for any student conduct matter similar to the one I was involved in.
-University Student, Senior, Mid-Sized Private Liberal Arts University

-Head of School, Independent School
Matt’s organization, professionalism, and breadth of experience served him and the College well during the time he was on contract with us. In addition to his base responsibilities, we also had him work with our student conduct process to make recommendations and improvements […] During the project he worked with me to ensure effective systems were in place to create a safe and collaborative environment on campus.
He also communicated with other senior administration and board member and was very capable of working at this level, often possessing highly confidential knowledge of upcoming strategic and sensitive issues while contributing thoughtful input while also handling issues with great discretion.
-Provost and Vice President, Small Private Liberal Arts College
